Guerrilla: Coca-cola

I like the theme of mirroring the objects. But i liked more when the mirror was used to make a movement motion effect for the brand. I personally don’t like Coke, but it is not the point of this post. The ad I am going to share is a guerrilla ad, and it is placed usually as you can see in the toilets. It requires actually two basic things: a mirror and a wall. the composition could be made for any product. There is a bit of surprise and attraction in the ad. However, it should be placed in the public places where people and customers are not the same everyday. In order to keep “wow” effect.  No more words, I will let you see the ad and make your own decision how good it is.

Guerrilla: DHL

Here comes one more example of guerrilla advertising. The strength of this advertising is that it aims to the current customers, thus increases their lifetime value for the company. It is important to have advertising to persuade the trial, but it is also vital to persuade them to repeat that trial or purchase. This campaign is great for that purpose. The idea is very simple but very powerful at the same time. Tunnelbox is created through placing a cupboard inside the delivery package. It shows that even the destination is far away, DHL can reach it easily with its adequate pricing policy. If you press the picture you may read the brief and tag lines.

Just in case, here is tag line

The fastest way from Hong Kong. Take a look at dhl.nl to see our sharp prices.

So you can see that the target market is businesses that have partners or interests in Hong Kong/Beijing.

Crashing article!

This blog is about marketing communications. And the focus of all marketing communications is consumers. Keeping good customer relationships and satisfying customers are the crucial fundamentals of the modern marketing.  However, the credit crunch made a huge influence on it. Companies started cutting the costs of marketing and advertising. When you cut the cost of the marketing, it directly influences to the relationship you build with customers. Not only true and strong company brands, but the ones with true values to its customers aren’t influenced by financial crisis. However, the other companies start showing their true faces during such difficult times.

why i am writing all this drama? Because I have a great article by the end of this week about customer care of one of the strongest brands in the world. It will be crashing article! It will be about love and hate, success and failure. I am very much sure that it will help me to promote my blog in other popular websites, such as consumerist.com, techcrunch.com, engadget.com and many others. So, please keep reading and enjoying the future blog posts.

Outdoor: Tryvann Winter Park

Have ever seen the snowing outdoor? Really snowing? OK, I don’t mean that the outdoors are snowing. I mean a snow in the outdoor. If you live in Norway, probably you did. But what about the rest of the world? If you have ski resorts then you should definitely come up with this type of creativity. This outdoor is made for Tryvann Winter Park in Norway by the TBWA\OSLO, Norway.  I can’t say that it is a brilliant idea, but it is a unique one, at least for me. Also, I wonder whether this outdoor can be used in summer as well, when the weather is warm or the snow in the outdoor is fake? No more words!!!!

Print: Fitness First!!!

I am back and I am full of energy. I still have problems with Sony and i hope that i can solve them very soon. However, this tiny incident with Sony couldn’t stop me from writing in my blog. So, for today we have an outdoor advertising by fitness club. I am sure it is a very creative and very appealing ad, but very expensive to implement too. Unless you are small company and have only few guerrilla type outdoors. Then it is very effective advertisement. I love it! Here comes the concept of education in advertising.

I’m writing from my iPhone. The reason why I am doing so is my laptop crashed and I don’t have any more means of internet surfing. I wrote to sony and expect from them good letter. I hope they still have good customer care. I guess I will take a week or two vacations and focus on my projects. It will be great chance for me to live without internet. That is what I call back to normal life. I promise to write updates and keep blog running. Nothing can stop my blog from development. Sorry for misspelling, it is difficult to type on iphone.

Guerrilla: Nice examples

So, today you will enjoy guerrilla advertising a lot. The reasons why I started loving guerrilla advertising are because:

  1. It is cheap and has “wow” effect.
  2. It can be developed for any one and could be very powerful, could increase brand awareness in niche segments.
  3. In the countries with low economic development and low budget companies, it is one of the best solutions.

So, I guess those are the reasons why I am interested in that type of advertising and marketing in recent days. But I will be short and just present you some of the good examples of guerrilla adverts. (more…)
