Print: Momentum DDB

Usually agencies don’t recommend practicing in house advertising. It is obvious, because they want your money. Outsourcing is the best option in advertising world. Clients want something unique, out of the box and powerful, so they contact agencies.  But what happens if you are an ad agency? You are still business and should you do your advertising yourself? Very difficult question. Sometimes you will be judged based on your portfolio and your personal adverts. They could say a lot to the client. I would like to share one print ad by Momentum DDB in Jordan. They called it “Greetings”. However, many people ranked the print very low.  Please see the print and give your feedback…. (more…)

Print: Emirates Classic Car Festival

I love when advertising is used to make recall of the past. The print adverts i would like to share with you are by Emirates Classic Car Festival. They tried to show the past of car industry, when there were no GPS systems or air conditioners. Very good retro styled print ads by BPG Advertising. One of my friends joked that car manufacturers started selling second hand cars due to crisis (even it is not relevant, but i’ve found it funny).

Humour: Emporio & Armani underwear

The sense of humour is the vital part of today’s UK advertising industry. About 30% of UK ads have sense of HUMOUR and other 30% covers SEX. I guess CELEB’s constitutes also 30% of the production. The recent Emporio& Armani underwear adverts which were published worldwide used celeb’s such as David and Victoria Beckham. However, this story not about them, but about other couple who made fun of them and showed their superior sense of humour. I am talking about television magician Paul Daniels and his wife Debbie McGee, who have featured in Emporio&Armani underwear as David and his wife did. So please see the original Beckham’s ads and then comic parody to those ads. (more…)

Here is one more example of last year guerrilla advertising campaigns. This time it is from Amnesty International Hamburg office. The picture i uploaded has all information about campaign. One more time it proves that advertising is not about products or services. Besides, you may enjoy the art of guerrilla aspect of the campaign.

The client is the Foundation against drug addiction. I guess it is a good example how advertising could be used to fight drug addiction. I already wrote about how it could be used to fight extremism. So, this shows how advertising could be used not only to promote goods or services but also to serve as a fundamental tool in achieving philanthropic goals.

Uzbek Viral Marketing :)

I found this video and I am sure it is a viral marketing campaign. I was proud to learn that the guy in the video is from my home city.  Even TIC TAC sponsors him to get popular, I still want to buy tic-tac because of their endorsement. I think it is a great video. I am not sure how good viral marketing it is, as i can see the video editing and other professional signs in the video.

Please have a look and leave your comment. I don’t expect too long comments, just two words, “I liked!”

For video please proceed. (more…)
